Transit Needs Assessment and Transit Service Plan for Sheridan County

The Public Transit Initiative of Sheridan County contracted with LSC Transportation Consultants, Inc. to complete a transit needs assessment and transit service plan for Sheridan County. PTISC is an informal group of concerned citizens and organizational representatives of Sheridan County that have come together to conduct a study on improving transit services in the County. The need for public transportation came from the Center for a Vital Community's Poverty Circles initative, where area residents highlighted the need for increased access to transit for those living under poverty and those under stressed economic conditions.

The plan specifically focuses on the transportation services provided within Sheridan County to determine the needs for future growth and development of public transportation in the area. The plan also examines transit needs and alternatives to better serve residents of Sheridan County.

The Final Report is now available for review.
